Happy New Year!
Have you received a new iPhone, iTouch, Blackberry or other mobile device as a holiday gift? As mentioned in the previous post, the Library provides access to a number of resources that can be downloaded or linked to these tools (DynaMed, Essential Evidence Plus, MDConsult Mobile, etc.). A new product "Mobile MedlinePlus", was just made available this week by the National Library of Medicine. (http://m.medlineplus.gov/). MedlinePlus is a consumer health website that provides information on a wide variety of topics: 800 health and wellness, information on prescription and over-the-counter medications, health news, an illustrated medical encyclopedia and much more. Content is available in both English and Spanish. Mobile MedlinePlus provides access to this content in a portable format.
There is a link to Mobile MedlinePlus from the MedlinePlus<http://medlineplus.gov/> homepage, as well as an FAQ at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/faq/mobile.html that includes special instructions for Blackberry users. Use the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page on Mobile MedlinePlus to send feedback to NLM.
